The Children’s Ministry at UOPC exists to introduce children to Jesus and teach them foundational Biblical truths to help them live as His followers. Nursery age children, from birth to 3 yrs old, should be checked into their classroom before the service starts. Children from 4 yrs old to 5th grade begin each week in the Sanctuary at 9:30am worshiping with the adults, hear a children’s message at the front, and then are dismissed to their classes, where Sunday School leaders will teach and guide each child in learning!

The Children’s ministry is currently in the 2nd year of The Gospel Project curriculum. The Gospel Project for kids delivers engaging Bible stories each week and helps teach kids how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture from Genesis to Revelation!

Classroom Logistics – All 3 children’s classes meet in the education wing behind the Sanctuary.

Nursery (birth to 3 years) – Room 101 in the education wing.

Younger Children (4 years to 2nd grade) – Room 102 in the education wing.

Older Children (3rd – 5th grade) – Room 103 in the education wing

Summer Schedule: The nursery will continue throughout the summer, but take note that children’s classes end on May 19, 2019 and will resume as a combined class for July and August.

Check-in: For nursery age children, parents can complete check-in directly in the nursery before the service begins. For younger and older children, there will be a check-in table you can visit upon entering the Narthex/Lobby at UOPC. The children should sit with their parents in the service until Pastor Bill calls them up for the Children’s Message. After his story and prayer, Pastor Bill will call the teachers up to lead the students to their appropriate classroom.

Pick-up: Parents, or an approved adult, need to pick up their student from their Sunday School class at the completion of the worship service.
