UOPC Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at UOPC is set up to meet you wherever you are in life. We understand that being a teenager in this world is full of challenges in both junior high and senior high school, so we offer opportunities for you to connect with students and leaders on a weekly basis. Check out some of the opportunities we have intentionally created to help you connect and grow:
Whether you’ve practically grown up in the church or you’re just checking out Jesus for the first time, we hope that you’ll be able to learn something new about what Jesus is doing in the world today and how He can make a difference in your life. Check out whats happening with our Junior High (6th – 8th grade) and Senior High (9th – 12th grade) groups below:
Sunday Morning: The Sunday morning Senior High and Junior High crew meets on Sundays at 10:45am in the church library for a study called “The Gospel Project.” The Gospel Project for Students is a Christ-centered study that will take you on a journey through the storyline of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Along the way, you’ll discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history, and what it means for YOU.
The entire youth group (6th – 12th grades) meets every Sunday morning at 10:45am in “The Living Room” in Schober Hall, except for the last Sunday of the month where we invite all students to gather with the congregation for a combined worship service. On a typical week at the Living Room, there will be snacks, hang-out time, and a meaningful Bible study/conversation about real-life issues. All students in 9th – 12th grade are invited to join us!
Mid-Week: The Cellar is our Mid-Week program of Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church for Junior and Senior high students in 6th – 12th grade. Every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm, students will gather together at the home of Tim and Katie Jones for games, snacks, Bible study, and awesome conversations about real life!
